2/21/10
The University of Virginia Men's Club Hockey team ended its season
with a 3-1 loss to the Duke Blue Devils in a game played at the ACCHL
Tournament held in Washington DC.
The Cavs played with heart and determination in their final game of the
year. The only goal scored for the Cavs was by Rob Borden, who skated
the length of the ice and fired a wicked slap shot past
the Duke goaltender. Goalie Eric Brandan and center Andrew Lehrman
also had a strong game for the Hoos.
The team wishes the best of luck to Doug Godfrin, Andrew Sufka,
Greg Faust, Ben Abel, Andrew King, Kevin Miller, Eric Freid,
Caleb Dunn and Manager Chris Branin who all graduate this year.
A special thanks to Lesley H., who served as this web master.
She developed and updated our web site this year and for that the
team thanks her.
The team would also like to thank all the players, coaches,
off ice officials, medical staff, the Charlottesville Ice Park and
alumni for their support this year.
We look forward to next season, and (as always) we are looking for
talented players, coaches and staff who want to make the 2010-2011
season a successful one.
Anyone interested in being a part of next years team should contact Head
